(WNY News Now) – On the evening of 10/20/2023, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover incident on Kiantone Rd, resulting in the arrest of a 33-year-old male from Ashville, NY.
Chautauqua County, NY – On the night of October 20, 2023, at approximately 10:18 PM, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Kiantone Rd in response to a report of a single vehicle rollover. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Benjamin Eggleston, a 33-year-old male from Ashville, NY, emerged from the accident uninjured.
Upon further investigation into the incident, it was alleged that Benjamin Eggleston had been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. As a result, Eggleston was taken into custody by law enforcement officers. He now faces charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08% or greater, and failing to maintain the right side of the road.
Eggleston is expected to appear before the Town of Kiantone court on a later date to address the charges against him.
