(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man has been apprehended and charged with Felony Criminal Mischief, Felony Reckless Endangerment, and larceny in the City of Jamestown, NY. The arrest follows a series of incidents on the east side of Jamestown involving tampering with power poles, resulting in damage to the infrastructure.
Jamestown – Jamestown Police Department responded to multiple reports of vandalism and tampering with power poles in the eastern part of Jamestown, New York. The incidents had raised concerns in the community as they posed a potential threat to public safety and utility services.
Authorities, relying on video evidence and eyewitness accounts, pinpointed a suspect behind the acts of vandalism. Malcolm B. Bull, a 32-year-old resident of Jamestown, was taken into custody on the afternoon of October 26, 2023, for allegedly committing these acts.
Bull now faces serious charges, including Felony Criminal Mischief, Felony Reckless Endangerment, and larceny. The damage inflicted upon the power poles had not only caused financial losses but also posed a significant risk to public safety, elevating the charges against him to felonies.
As of now, Malcolm B. Bull is awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
