(WNY News Now) – The National Weather Service (NWS) Buffalo NY has issued a Wind Advisory for Wyoming and Cattaraugus counties, effective from 11 AM this morning until 11 PM EST tonight, warning residents of southeast winds at 25 to 35 mph with gusts reaching up to 50 mph.

Residents in Wyoming and Cattaraugus counties are advised to exercise caution as the National Weather Service (NWS) Buffalo NY issues a Wind Advisory, effective from 11 AM to 11 PM EST today. Anticipated are southeast winds ranging between 25 to 35 mph, with gusts potentially reaching up to 50 mph.

The advisory highlights specific areas prone to the strongest gusts, notably on ridgetops and near north-facing slopes. Potential impacts include the risk of unsecured objects being blown around, and the possibility of tree limbs falling, leading to isolated power outages.
