(WNY News Now) – NY – The National Weather Service (NWS) Buffalo NY has issued a Wind Advisory for multiple counties in Western New York, effective from 4:25 AM until 7:00 PM EST today.
Expect southwest winds of 30 to 40 mph, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph in Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany counties. Until 7 PM, potential impacts include the blowing of unsecured objects, downed tree limbs, and isolated power outages. Motorists, particularly those in high-profile vehicles, are advised to exercise extra caution. Additionally, securing outdoor items is recommended to mitigate potential hazards.
