(WNY News Now) – PA – Pennsylvania Prepares for Winter Storm: I-86 Restrictions Effective Jan. 12, 2024 at 4:00 PM.
In anticipation of an impending winter storm, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announces restrictions on I-86, both directions west of NY State Line/PA State Line, effective from 01/12/2024 at 04:00 PM. All lanes remain open, but certain vehicles are advised against travel. Prohibited vehicles include tractors without trailers, those towing unloaded or lightly loaded trailers, and various other categories. Additionally, planned restrictions encompass tractors towing loaded tandem trailers without chains or Alternate Traction Devices (ATDs).
