A domestic dispute on the east side of the city resulted in the arrest of 60-year-old Douglas E. Martin, facing charges of Unlawful Imprisonment, Grand Larceny, and drug possession among others.
In the early hours of April 27th, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to a distress call at an East Side address. Upon arrival, they discovered Douglas E. Martin had allegedly pinned a female victim against a wall by her neck and confiscated her property, preventing her from contacting law enforcement.
The victim managed to escape to a neighbor’s residence, prompting the police’s intervention. During Martin’s arrest, officers found him in possession of Buprenorphine, Naloxone Sublingual films, and Fentanyl. Martin resisted arrest, prompting additional charges of Obstructing Governmental Administration.
Martin faces a range of charges including Unlawful Imprisonment, Grand Larceny, Criminal Mischief, Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is currently held in Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
