A fire investigation into the blaze at 1195 Rt 5 & 20, Silver Creek Auto Parts, has concluded that sparks from a metal cut off saw caused the fire, as per Chautauqua County Fire Investigation findings.
On April 27, 2024, at 9:17 am, Silver Creek Fire Department and mutual aid units responded to a commercial structure fire at Silver Creek Auto Parts. The fire, triggered by sparks from a metal cut off saw contacting cardboard combustibles, led to the involvement of the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation team. Interviews and a hands-on investigation determined the fire’s origin and cause. Fortunately, no injuries were reported due to the fire.
