Community Rallies to Bring Back Beloved Independence Day Celebration

The Bemus Point Business Association (BPBA) has launched a fundraising campaign to revive the cherished Bemus Point 4th of July Fireworks Show. This annual tradition, set against the picturesque backdrop of Chautauqua Lake, unites residents and visitors in a festive celebration of Independence Day.

The fireworks display, visible from every corner of the village and its surroundings, offers a perfect setting for families and friends to gather. Whether viewed from the shore, village park, boats, docks, or lakeside spots, the event promises a breathtaking spectacle.

BPBA aims to raise $15,000 to ensure this year’s show is as magnificent as ever. Last year’s successful fundraising effort reached its goal, thanks to the generosity of the community. This year, the association is confident that with continued support, they can achieve and possibly exceed their target, enhancing safety measures and ensuring the event’s future success.

The 4th of July Fireworks Show is more than just a display; it’s a celebration of community spirit and local culture. It draws residents and visitors, boosts local businesses, and strengthens community bonds. The event’s success relies heavily on donations and business sponsorships.

Currently, the fundraising efforts have already brought in over half of the needed funds, but more help is required to reach the goal. Every contribution counts, and exceeding the target will help further secure the event’s longevity and quality.

Donations can be made via the GoFundMe campaign at gofundme.com/BemusPointFireworks24 or by mailing a check to the Bemus Point Business Association at PO Box 113, Bemus Point, NY 14712. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available. Interested parties can contact BPBA at visitbemuspoint@gmail.com.

Kelley Marker, Executive Director of the Bemus Point Business Association, expressed gratitude for the community’s support and excitement for the upcoming event. “Thank you for your support, and we look forward to a vibrant and busy summer in Bemus Point, NY!”
