Amber P. Coy and Michael C. Hillman face legal repercussions following an alleged theft at a local grocery store.
On June 6th at 3:15 PM, Amber P. Coy, 23, and Michael C. Hillman, 36, both residents of Jamestown, were charged with petit larceny following an incident at Wegmans. The Town of Ellicott Police Department responded to a shoplifting complaint where it is alleged that Coy and Hillman took multiple items from the store without payment.
According to the police report, store security observed the pair removing merchandise and exiting the premises without completing any purchase transactions. Upon arrival, the officers apprehended Coy and Hillman, who were subsequently charged with petit larceny. Both individuals were issued appearance tickets, mandating their presence in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date to address the charges.
