A Jamestown resident faces serious charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle while his driving privileges were suspended.

Larry J. Whitehill Jr., a 44-year-old resident of Jamestown, has been arrested and charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the third degree, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree. The arrest on June 17th follows a detailed investigation into a complaint lodged on May 1st.

According to authorities, Whitehill is accused of taking a vehicle that did not belong to him. Further complicating matters, Whitehill’s driving privileges in New York State were suspended at the time of the alleged incident.

After his arrest, Whitehill was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, where he underwent a Centralized Arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date to face the charges.
