A group of 19 volunteers were honored recently during United Way of Southern Chautauqua County’s annual Volunteer of the Year recognition ceremony.

Held at Chautauqua Adult Day Services on Tuesday, June 18, the event featured glowing praise from United Way and its community partner agencies for the service provided by the volunteers to the local nonprofits.

The evening event had a puzzle theme this year, with the tagline: “Volunteers: The ESSENTIAL Piece”.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity exhibited by the 19 volunteers we honored during this year’s Volunteer of the Year ceremony,” said Eric Rinaldo, UWSCC Community Impact Manager. “Highlighting the dedication of these outstanding individuals underscores the vital role that volunteerism plays in our community. Volunteers are the lifeblood of local nonprofits, providing the essential support needed to fulfill their missions, achieve their goals and positively impact the lives of those they serve. The selfless contribution of these volunteers help to create a stronger, more vibrant community for all.”
