(WNY News Now) – Syracuse, NY – On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 8:06 p.m., Syracuse Police Officers responded to multiple gunshots detected by ShotSpotter at Stone Court in the James Geddes Housing complex. Upon arrival, officers found two female victims with apparent gunshot wounds to their legs. Both victims, aged 27 and 16, were transported to University Hospital and are in stable condition, expected to survive.
Shortly thereafter, police were alerted to a third victim. A 16-year-old male arrived at Upstate Hospital’s emergency room with a gunshot wound to his lower body. Syracuse Police believe this shooting occurred in the same area as the initial incident. The male victim is also listed in stable condition and expected to recover.
