(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, N.Y. – U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today that a Niagara Falls, NY, man has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo. This charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison, with the potential for life imprisonment, and a fine of up to $10,000,000.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey E. Intravatola, who handled the case, stated that on March 26, 2024, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Niagara Falls, during which they located Jevon Flynn, 30, in a bedroom, with his hands near a clothing hamper. A backpack and a pair of pants were found in the clothing hamper. A plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine was found in the backpack, while two plastic baggies were found in the pants, one contained suspected fentanyl, the other contained blue-colored pressed pills. Investigators also seized another quantity of suspected methamphetamine and eight grams of suspected crack cocaine.
The plea is the result of an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Scarpino, and the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, under the direction of Sheriff Michael Filicetti.
Sentencing is scheduled for December 3, 2024, before Judge Vilardo.
