(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A Jamestown woman was taken into custody after allegedly attempting to deceive officers and resisting arrest during a burglary investigation on the city’s north side.
On August 8, 2024, at approximately 10:02 p.m., Jamestown police officers responded to a reported burglary in progress on the city’s north side. Upon arrival, officers encountered two women at the residence’s entrance, who were later determined to have permission to be there and were released without charges.
While clearing the residence, officers discovered 24-year-old Cassaundra M. Wick of Jamestown hiding in a bathroom. Wick, who had an outstanding warrant from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, allegedly attempted to mislead officers by providing a false identity. Despite her alleged efforts to resist arrest by pulling away from the officers, Wick was taken into custody and transported to the city jail.
Wick has been charged with False Personation and Resisting Arrest and is currently being held in Jamestown City Court pending arraignment.
