(WNY News Now) – Celoron – The Lucille Ball Memorial Park was packed with eventgoers as community members and local businesses and organizations alike converged to watch the Chautauqua Lake Dragon Boat Festival.

The Lucille Ball Memorial Park in Celoron was buzzing with excitement on Saturday, August 10th, as community members gathered in anticipation of the Chautauqua Lake Dragon Boat Festival.

Several local businesses attended the event as vendors to provide refreshments for the festivities, including the Basil and Bones and Taco Hut food trucks. Additionally, many local organizations set up tents in the park, such as the Chautauqua County Humane Society, Cassadage Job Corps Center, Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet, and the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy.

The Dragon Boat Races have become a cherished tradition within the community, and its popularity is as strong as ever. Though the event was paused during the pandemic, it made a strong return last year, and this year’s event proved to be just as in-demand.
