(WNY News Now) – Chautauqua County, N.Y. — The Chautauqua County Republican Committee celebrated its annual dinner on August 15 with a strong turnout of around 150 attendees. The event featured notable figures including Congressman Nick Langworthy, U.S. Senate Candidate Mike Sapraicone, NYS Supreme Court Justice Deborah Chimes, NYS Senator George Borrello, and others, including outgoing Assemblyman Andrew Goodell. The event also saw the attendance of several other
supportive elected officials, such as County Executive PJ Wendel, Sheriff James Quattrone, Jamestown Mayor Kim Ecklund and numerous other officials from our cities, towns, and villages.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of NYS Assemblyman Andrew Goodell, who was honored by his colleagues, including Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay, Assemblyman Chris Tague, Assemblyman Phil Palmesano, and Assemblyman Joe Giglio (who once represented Chautauqua County). Assemblyman Goodell, who is retiring, was praised for his tireless work and dedication to the residents of Chautauqua County over the past 14 years.
Chairwoman Nacole Ellis expressed her gratitude, stating, “Assemblyman Andrew Goodell has worked tirelessly for our county. We are so very proud of his dedicated work and commitment that he has provided to the residents of Chautauqua County. The committee recognized Andy’s accomplishments over the past 14 years and he was thanked by all in attendance. The evening was a great success, with energy and commitment to our candidates and our party. The Republican Party will continue to be dedicated to supporting our candidates and the well-being of our county’s future.”
