(WNY News Now) – Ellicott – Kristen A. Kramer, 53, of Lakewood, NY, has been charged with criminal tampering in the third degree following an incident on August 26, 2024. The Town of Ellicott Police Department responded to a complaint at a local grocery store where it is alleged that Kramer placed a long-expired food item among fresh food products. This act raised concerns about the potential risks to public health and safety.

Kramer was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to address the charges against her. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
