(WNY News Now) – With thousands of fans heading to the JMA Wireless Dome for P!nk’s October 6 concert, authorities urge concertgoers to plan ahead to avoid significant traffic delays and parking issues.

Syracuse – As P!nk prepares to take the stage at Syracuse University’s JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday, October 6, local officials are warning attendees to brace for heavy traffic and limited parking availability. With a sold-out crowd expected, both the Syracuse Police Department and Syracuse University officials are encouraging concertgoers to arrive early to minimize congestion and streamline entry into the venue.

Parking lots will open at 12 p.m., offering early arrivals a chance to secure a spot before the rush. For those parking at remote locations, shuttle services from Skytop, Colvin, and Comstock Lots will begin at 3:30 p.m. to transport attendees to the Dome. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m., with the show set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

University parking lots near the Dome are already sold out, so concertgoers without pre-purchased parking passes are directed to the Skytop Lot, accessible via Route I-81, Exit 17. Detailed directions to this lot and others are available online for real-time navigation, which is encouraged to avoid delays caused by ongoing road construction.

For those with pre-purchased passes for the West Lots or Irving Garage, authorities remind drivers to display their parking passes clearly upon approaching their designated areas. Concertgoers holding parking permits for University Avenue Garage or Comstock Avenue Garage are advised to avoid Route I-81, Exit 18, due to construction, and instead use Route I-690, taking the Teall Avenue exit (Exit 14) to reach Walnut Avenue.

Officials are urging all attendees to plan their routes carefully and leave ample time to navigate potential traffic jams. As always, drivers should follow the instructions of traffic officers and digital signage to help keep the flow of traffic moving smoothly.
