(WNY News Now) – Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center invites cancer survivors and patients from the Jamestown area to a free workshop designed to empower, educate, and inspire on October 23, 2024.

Celoron, N.Y. – Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center will host a special workshop for cancer survivors and patients in the Jamestown area, offering guidance on adjusting to life after treatment. The free event, set for Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., will be held at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron, New York.

The event will feature experts from Roswell Park’s Survivorship Program, who will provide valuable insights into managing treatment side effects, coping with emotional challenges, and improving overall health and wellness. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about what it means to face a “new normal” after cancer treatment, as well as tips for navigating the physical and emotional hurdles survivors often encounter.

“This workshop is designed to offer both education and inspiration to those who have survived cancer,” said Alexandra Barrick, Marketing Communications Coordinator at Roswell Park. “We hope attendees leave with new tools to take control of their health and well-being as they move forward in their survivorship journey.”

Roswell Park’s Survivorship Program connects participants to a range of supportive services, focusing on the long-term health and wellness of cancer survivors. Whether it’s managing lingering side effects or addressing the emotional toll of a cancer diagnosis, the program aims to help individuals thrive beyond treatment.
