(WNY News Nows) – Buffalo’s Explore & More museum is ready to celebrate diverse local cultures, offer free family fun, and bring a grown-up twist to holiday festivities this fall.

Cultural Connections Day presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield to highlight local cultural organizations on Sunday
Explore & More – The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum, in partnership with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, invites the community to join them at Explore & More on Sunday, November 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the first-ever Cultural Connections Day. During this exciting event, guests can engage with dynamic local arts and cultural organizations and get a first-hand look at their exciting offerings.
Guests will be welcomed by a lineup of community vendors committed to supporting Western New York as active participants in the Arts Access program. Each organization will showcase the programs and resources they will offer for children and families throughout the 2024-2025 winter season.
During Cultural Connections Day, eligible visitors will be able to register for an Arts Access pass and discover the many ways to engage with local arts and cultural organizations. They will be able to receive same-day acceptance and certification for Arts Access passes, allowing residents to register, get certified, and start using their pass immediately – a process that typically requires several days.
Arts Access is a program that opens the door to arts and culture for all Western New Yorkers by connecting them to free and low-cost cultural opportunities in their communities.
More than 50 local theatres, galleries, and other arts and cultural institutions participate in Arts Access and offer low-income individuals and their families of Erie and Niagara Counties the chance to see, experience, and participate in live shows and events by providing free and/or discounted tickets through the Arts Access Pass.
Western New York cultural institutions that participate in Arts Access and will be at the museum on November 24 include:
— The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site
— Chinese Club of Western New York
— Shea’s Performing Arts Center
— Herschell Carousel Factory Museum
— Buffalo Architecture Foundation
— Shakespeare in Delaware Park
— Cornell Cooperative Extension
All activities are free with the price of admission
