(WNY News Now) – A local man faces multiple charges after being arrested during a street check early Monday morning.

Jamestown, N.Y. – At approximately 2:37 a.m. on November 26, 2024, Jamestown Police officers observed two individuals walking through the parking lot of the Ring School. Upon making contact with the subjects, officers determined that one of the individuals, Anthony J. Park, 37, of Jamestown, was in violation of a stay-away order of protection.

During the interaction, officers also discovered that Park was carrying a quantity of controlled substances, including Fentanyl and Buprenorphine. As a result, Park was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

Park was taken into custody without incident and held pending his arraignment at Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
