(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown woman faces charges after police locate a missing teenager reported missing nearly a month ago.

JAMESTOWN, NY — Danielle Woodworth, 40, of Jamestown, was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child after police discovered a missing 15-year-old juvenile in her home on December 3, 2024.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to an address in the city at approximately 4:34 PM while investigating a missing person report. The teen had been reported missing since November 7, 2024.

Authorities allege that Woodworth knowingly harbored the juvenile during the nearly month-long search. She was taken into custody without incident and later released on an appearance ticket to Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
