(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY — A 21-year-old woman was arrested late Friday night, December 14, 2024, after a violent domestic incident on the West Side. Constance A. Mitchell was charged with three counts of second-degree assault, two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
At approximately 1:40 AM, officers from the Third Platoon responded to a distress call regarding an erratic female outside, unclothed, and screaming. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found Mitchell in a state of distress. According to authorities, Mitchell had allegedly attacked a male victim, cutting him with a knife before striking him with various objects, causing injuries.
Mitchell was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
