(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY — A late-night collision on December 19, 2024, led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man on aggravated DWI charges after police found his blood alcohol content was more than double the legal limit.

At approximately 8:08 PM, Jamestown Police Second Platoon officers responded to the area of West 3rd Street and Lakin Avenue after spotting a legally parked vehicle with significant rear driver’s side damage. Further investigation revealed a second vehicle farther west on 3rd Street, immobilized in the roadway with full airbag deployment and obstructing traffic.

Alexander M. Larson, the sole occupant and driver of the second vehicle, was found to have been operating under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content exceeding .18%. Larson was taken into custody on charges of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI Per Se, and multiple traffic violations.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Larson was processed at the Jamestown City Jail and released on appearance tickets for Jamestown City Court.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
