Sheriff’s Investigation Uncovers Alleged $3,000 Theft from Local Organization

(WNY News Now) – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has charged 33-year-old Katlin S. Benedetto of Sinclairville, NY, with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree following an extensive investigation. Benedetto is accused of stealing over $3,000 from a local organization over a six-month period, from February to August 2024.

According to the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, Benedetto voluntarily turned herself in to authorities. She was subsequently arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Program and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court to face the charges.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
