(WNY News Now) – Jamestown Police arrested a 21-year-old man on charges of criminal contempt and resisting arrest following a domestic incident on the city’s Southside late Friday night.

On Friday, January 10, 2025, at approximately 11:36 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to a reported domestic incident at a residence on the Southside of the city. Upon arrival, officers found Oshon Goodlow, a 21-year-old male, inside the apartment with a female victim who had an active stay-away order of protection against him.

Despite repeated commands from law enforcement, Goodlow initially refused to leave the apartment. After continued directives, he eventually complied and was taken into custody.

While being transported to the patrol car, Goodlow reportedly resisted arrest and kicked the vehicle, though no damage was caused. He was subsequently taken to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest.

Goodlow is currently being held at the jail, pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
