(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly violating a court-issued order of protection during a domestic incident on the city’s east side.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the Second Platoon responded to a residence around 4:23 p.m. on Feb. 11 for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers identified 34-year-old Dylan S. Griffith, who had an active stay-away order of protection against him concerning the victim.

Griffith was ordered to leave the residence and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the city jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court on a charge of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
