(WNY News Now) – A 37-year-old Jamestown man faces charges after being arrested for shoplifting in the Town of Ellicott on February 12, 2025.
Tony J. Stebbins, of Jamestown, NY, was charged with Petit Larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from a local business. The Town of Ellicott Police responded to the scene shortly after the incident occurred, locating Stebbins a short distance from the store.
According to authorities, Stebbins took items from the business without paying. Upon locating Stebbins, police took him into custody. He was issued an appearance ticket for the charge and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer to the accusation.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
