(WNY News Now) – ELLICOTT, N.Y. – A West Seneca man is facing a petit larceny charge following an investigation by the Town of Ellicott Police Department.

Authorities responded to a larceny complaint on Jan. 21 at approximately 3:45 p.m., where it was alleged that Michael S. Lake, 43, an employee at the store, had taken items without paying.

Following the investigation, Lake was charged with petit larceny and issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
