(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A traffic stop early Saturday morning resulted in the arrest of a Buffalo resident on drug charges.
At approximately 1:34 a.m. on February 22, 2025, Jamestown Police initiated a traffic stop in the area of North Main Street and East 6th Street due to observed equipment violations. During the stop, officers discovered that the vehicle’s operator, 29-year-old Jamarr A. Cunningham of Buffalo, was in possession of methamphetamine.
Cunningham was promptly arrested and taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a misdemeanor offense under New York State law.
Following the arrest, Cunningham was transported to the Jamestown City Jail for processing. Due to recent changes in bail reform laws, he was released on an appearance ticket, pending further proceedings in Jamestown City Court.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
