(WNY News Now) – A unique cinematic experience is coming to The Reg Lenna Center for The Arts, where Buster Keaton’s 1924 silent comedy Sherlock Jr. will be paired with live music from R.E.M.’s iconic albums Monster and New Adventures in Hi-Fi.

Silent film scored to R.E.M. and One of Them Days to show at Reg Lenna Center for The Arts. 

A classic film and modern music are paired in Buster Keaton’s Sherlock Jr. with R.E.M.’s Monster and New Adventures in Hi Fi – A Silents Synced Film  (Wed., March 12 at 7 p.m.) A film projectionist longs to be a detective, and puts his meager skills to work when he is framed by a rival for stealing his girlfriend’s father’s pocketwatch. This classic 1924 silent film is tracked to R.E.M.’s albums Monster and New Adventures in Hi Fi. Sherlock Jr. is unrated and is 72 minutes long.

Best friends and roommates Dreux (Keke Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) are about to have One of Them Days (Fri., March 14 at 7 p.m.) When they discover Alyssa’s boyfriend has blown their rent money, the duo finds themselves going to extremes in a comical race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact. One of Them Days is rated R and is 97 minutes long.
