(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A Jamestown man was arrested Sunday afternoon for public lewdness after allegedly exposing himself to passing motorists.

On March 9, 2025, at approximately 3:05 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a report of a male engaging in lewd behavior on Lakeview Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed 44-year-old Jared G. Leroy exposing his genitals in public.

Leroy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He has been charged with public lewdness and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
