(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A Jamestown man was arrested Tuesday evening following a reported weapon-related incident on the city’s west side.
Officers from the Second Platoon responded to the scene at approximately 7:28 p.m. on March 11 after receiving reports of a person with a weapon. Upon investigation, authorities determined that Arnold A. Williams, 65, had threatened multiple victims, brandished a baseball bat, and attempted to strike one of them. Additionally, Williams allegedly exposed himself to the victims during the altercation.
Williams was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment. He faces multiple charges, including Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, three counts of Public Lewdness, and two counts of Harassment in the Second Degree.
The case will be handled in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
