(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A routine street check led to the arrest of an Ashville woman on outstanding warrants and multiple drug charges late Sunday night.

On March 10, 2025, at approximately 9:38 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon were patrolling near Liberty Street and Falconer Street when they observed 35-year-old Heather M. Brown exiting a running vehicle. Officers, having prior knowledge of an active bench warrant for Brown, approached her and initiated an investigation.

During the encounter, officers discovered 14.9 grams of methamphetamine and 3.9 grams of fentanyl in Brown’s possession inside her vehicle. She was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree.

Brown was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
