(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A Jamestown man was arrested on multiple charges following a domestic dispute on the city’s north side Sunday evening.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to a residence at approximately 5:57 p.m. on March 16, 2025, for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation determined that 20-year-old Jaral L. Farmer engaged in two separate domestic incidents at the location within a 24-hour period, violating an active order of protection issued by Jamestown City Court.

Authorities report that Farmer unlawfully prevented the victim from leaving a bedroom, obstructed their breathing, and caused property damage within the residence.

Farmer was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He faces charges of two counts of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing/Blood Circulation.

Farmer remains held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
