(WNY News Now) – SHERIDAN, N.Y. — A Sheridan woman has been arrested in connection with a burglary incident that occurred earlier this month in the Town of Sheridan.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported trespass on Route 20 on March 15, 2025, at approximately 3:04 p.m. Following an investigation, authorities determined that Karen F. Sosinski, 56, of Sheridan, had unlawfully entered a residence, caused damage, and removed property from inside.
As a result, an arrest warrant was issued by the Town of Sheridan Court, charging Sosinski with burglary in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, petit larceny, and criminal tampering in the third degree.
On March 21, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., sheriff’s deputies took Sosinski into custody and transported her to the Chautauqua County Jail, where she was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Program. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
