Jamestown, N.Y. – On the evening of April 12, 2025, at approximately 6:31 PM, Jamestown Police officers were conducting routine patrols in the downtown area when they were flagged down by a concerned citizen about a suspicious male allegedly panhandling. Officers quickly located the individual in question, later identified as Andrew J. Dzierzanowski, a 42-year-old homeless man from Jamestown.

Upon making contact with Dzierzanowski, officers discovered that he was wanted on multiple active warrants. The warrants, which stemmed from larceny charges, were issued by the City of Jamestown, the New York State Police in Olean, and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. As a result, Dzierzanowski was taken into custody without incident.

Dzierzanowski now faces a charge of being a Fugitive from Justice, in addition to the outstanding larceny-related warrants.
