Allen was arraigned before State Supreme Court Justice Debra Givens on charges including one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-I” felony. He also faces misdemeanor charges of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the Second Degree.

According to prosecutors, Buffalo Police responded to a reported stabbing at a residence on the 200 block of Commonwealth Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Allen is accused of repeatedly stabbing his sister with a knife during a domestic incident inside the home. The victim was transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead from upper-body injuries.

After the alleged stabbing, Allen reportedly threatened another individual inside the residence and caused intentional damage to a vehicle parked outside. Police say he fled into a neighboring backyard but was quickly apprehended by officers.

Authorities further allege that while in custody at a Buffalo Police station, Allen attempted to obstruct the administration of law by using physical force to interfere with an officer performing official duties.

Allen is scheduled to return to court for a pre-trial conference on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. He remains held without bail.

If convicted on the top charge, Allen faces a possible maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison.

District Attorney Keane acknowledged the work of the Buffalo Police Department in the investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Justin H. Caldwell of the Homicide Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Rachel Schepart of the Felony Trials Bureau.

As with all criminal cases, the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
