(WNY News Now) – SOUTH DAYTON, NY – On May 30, 2025, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffrey E. Zink Jr., 44, of South Dayton, following a warrant check during a routine patrol.
Deputies observed Zink walking along Oak Street in the Village of South Dayton and determined that he had an active arrest warrant issued by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. Zink was taken into custody without incident and transported to a secure location.
He was later transferred to the custody of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for further court proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
