(WNY News Now) – WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Nick Langworthy released a statement following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, calling his death a tragic loss and condemning the act as politically motivated violence from the Left.

Langworthy described Kirk as a husband, father, and outspoken advocate for conservative values, praising his commitment to free speech and his efforts to strengthen American democracy. “Charlie Kirk was murdered for daring to speak the truth and defend freedom,” Langworthy said. “He fought relentlessly for a stronger America and never bowed to the forces of censorship or intimidation.”

In his remarks, Langworthy condemned the killing as an attack on free expression and accused extremists of resorting to violence rather than debate. “The extreme Left chose today not to fight a war of ideas — but to indulge their derangement through cold-blooded murder, seeking to silence his voice forever,” he said. It should be noted that the identity of Kirk’s assassin is currently unknown.

The congressman emphasized that Kirk’s influence will continue beyond his death. “Charlie’s voice will never be silenced. His cause will only grow stronger, his fight will live on, and the movement he helped inspire will rise higher than ever,” Langworthy stated.

  1. He is absolutely wrong m The assasin was a right wing extremeist not left at all!!! he felt that the man he assasinated wasn’t right wing enough. it is irresponsible to spread dis information and spread lies I will be voting against you seeing how you are not professional enough to promote factual information as you attempt to promote division and do not acknowledge We are all Americans right or left. SHAME ON YOU. spreading such info that has been disproven by facts. I will vote blue in midterms.

    1. Nick Langworthy has taken Joe McCarthy of the 1950s as his exemplar. Fear mongering wins votes. On “X”, after the murder of Charlie Kirk, Nick Langworhy posted:

“The extreme Left chose today not to fight a war of ideas — but to indulge their derangement through cold-blooded murder, seeking to silence his voice forever.”

Not very coded language for: “All Democrats are assassins.”

His posting is counter factual and divisive. Instead of calm, it inflames a mob toward like kind revenge. It is wrong.

Langworthy’s illegitimate exploitation of a tragedy to gain a little approval from the extreme right is petty. It is consistent with a political animal sensing the way the wind blows. It is inconsistent with a person of integrity looking for unity in America.

Vilifying Democrats at every turn is not a recipe for unity. Langworthy condemns people as opposed to their ideas. He accuses others of his own bad behavior. We need a congressman who is less afraid for his job and more afraid for America’s future.

  3. I agree with Langworthy. Charlie wanted the difficult conversations so that they were no longer difficult. But MSM just want to vilianize anyone wanting to have the difficult conversations because they would no longer be difficult and we could all find common ground. He was a good man whether you agreed with him or not and you will never change my mind. Period.

  4. Langworthy is an idiot. The gunman was a homosexual whose boyfriend was in the process of transitioning to a manshee… he was upset because this man condemned a whole category of people because “JESUS” would look down on them…? Charlie Kirk was the extremist, Langworthy. Nice use of a trajedy to get your face in the papers, though.
