(WNY News Now) – Town of Ellicott police arrested a Jamestown man after responding to a reported shoplifting incident at a Falconer retail store.
The Town of Ellicott Police Department reported that Eduardo L. Rivera, 26, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny following an alleged shoplifting incident on December 26, 2025.
According to police, officers responded to CVS in the Village of Falconer for a report of a larceny in progress. Investigators allege that Rivera entered the store and stole merchandise without paying.
Rivera was located in the vicinity shortly after the incident, taken into custody without incident, and charged with petit larceny. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.
Rivera is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer to the charge. As with all criminal matters, the charge is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
