Town of Ellicott police say multiple violations led to DWI and drug possession charges.
(WNY News Now) – The Town of Ellicott Police Department reported that a Jamestown woman was charged with multiple offenses following a vehicle and traffic stop on December 27, 2025.
According to police, Rachel A. Moons, 53, of Jamestown, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs), Driving While Intoxicated, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, along with additional traffic violations.
Officers conducted the stop after observing what police described as numerous traffic violations. During the investigation, Moons was allegedly found to be under the influence of drugs. Police further reported that she was in possession of pills that were not prescribed to her.
Moons was issued uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
All charges are accusations, and Moons is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
