(WNY News Now) – FREDONIA, N.Y. — A Dunkirk woman is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop early Saturday morning in the Village of Fredonia led to a driving while intoxicated investigation.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Eagle Street at approximately 2:19 a.m. on April 18. The driver was identified as 23-year-old Alaynea P. Grover of Dunkirk.
Following an investigation, deputies determined that Grover was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. She was taken into custody without incident.
Grover has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI per se, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third degree, and no/improper signal.
She is scheduled to appear in the Village of Fredonia Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
