(WNY News Now) – A 44-year-old Brocton man died Saturday after his vehicle left Burdick Road in the Town of Chautauqua and struck a tree, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred around 7:26 a.m. Sept. 12 on Burdick Road in Dewittville.

Sheriff’s deputies determined that Ryan J. Evans, 44, of Brocton, was driving northbound on Burdick Road when his vehicle left the roadway and entered an embankment.

The vehicle then struck a tree.

Evans suffered injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

No other individuals were identified as being involved in the incident. The Sheriff’s Office listed the investigation as a fatal motor vehicle accident.
