Jamestown Man Formally Indicted In Alleged Rape Of Juvenile

MAYVILLE – A City of Jamestown man accused of raping a juvenile in the Town of Ripley in 2011 has been formally indicted in the case.

The Chautauqua County District Attorney Office announced that 49-year-old Joseph Angelo was arraigned for predatory sexual assault against a child, a class A-II felony; and one count course of sexual conduct against a child, a class B felony on Friday.

Last fall the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division alleged Angleo engaged in sexual intercourse with a juvenile victim in 2011.











According to the Chautauqua County Jail inmate list, Angelo was held within county lockup on $35,000 bail.
