Jamestown Police Identify Man Killed In Weekend Shooting

JAMESTOWN – Police in Jamestown have identified the man killed in a northside shooting over the weekend.

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded to a reported shooting around 11:30 p.m. on East 6th Street at American Place.











The victim, identified as 37-year-old Shawn Black, of Lockport, NY, was taken via a private vehicle to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital before police arrived on scene.

Officers say Black was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

As of the last update from the department, detectives have yet to identify a suspect.
