JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – The second episode of a charity cooking competition will air this weekend, featuring a fiery competition that summoned the Jamestown Fire Department.

‘So, You Think You Can Cook?’ is a collaboration between the St. Susan Center in Jamestown and a locally owned and operated streaming service, Channel 716.

Night two of the competition was filmed back on March 4th, with local chefs Marlene Lucas, David Carlson and Melissa Paterniti taking part.

During the main course preparation, Carlson accidentally tripped the fire alarm system while burning alcohol off of his pan. As a result, the Jamestown Fire Department responded to the automatic alarm.

“It was me, I know it was me,” explained Carlson. “You gotta take the alcohol off, I knew I had to do that, you gotta tip the fire, get the flame, and I knew right when it happened, it was going to go off.”

Episode two premieres on Saturday, at 7 p.m. on Channel 716 on Roku and Channel716.com.
