DUNKIRK, NY (WNY News Now) – City of Dunkirk Police have released more information about a high speed stolen vehicle pursuit last week in northern Chautauqua County.

Last Thursday around 1:30 a.m. officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving without headlights in the area of East 7th Street and Columbus Avenue.

The suspects, police report, immediately fled, eventually leaving the city south on Route 60 to the traffic circle in Fredonia and back into the city.

At one point during the chase, the suspect vehicle intentionally rammed a police patrol car causing extensive damage.

After a 14-minute pursuit the suspects abruptly stopped near the corner of McKinley Avenue and West 5th Street and the three occupants fled on foot.

The vehicle’s driver, 19-year-old Kenneth Craig of West Seneca, faces several charges following his arrest including three felonies. The two passengers 18-year-old Christopher Delosangeles, of Buffalo and 21-year-old Marvin Royster, of Buffalo were also arrested.

The vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the month by the City of Buffalo Police Department.

The trio was later issued appearance tickets and later released as part of New York State Bail Reform.
