(WNY News Now) – An officer-involved shooting incident occurred on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, when a barricaded suspect fired upon Millcreek officers responding to a call for an unwanted guest. The suspect now faces a slew of serious charges.

Millcreek, PA – On September 5, 2023, at 3:06 PM, Millcreek Police Department received a call regarding an unwanted guest at 1045 East Gore Rd. The caller, who retreated to a safe location, alerted law enforcement. Two Millcreek officers arrived at 3:20 PM, soon requesting backup due to a barricaded male inside and a house fire.

As the suspect, Keegan Gabriel Baker, a 26-year-old from Erie, appeared in the front entrance and fired at officers, they returned fire, injuring him. Baker was transported to Hamot for medical attention. No officers or bystanders were harmed.

Charges have been filed against Baker, including Attempted Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Arson, Burglary, and Criminal Mischief. He will be arraigned pending medical treatment. The officers’ identities remain undisclosed as the investigation continues.
