Syracuse, NY – A man who was critically injured in a shooting on West Calthrop Avenue has died from his injuries, authorities confirmed. The victim has been identified as Sidney E. Comrie, 43.
On Monday, June 24th, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Syracuse Police Officers responded to the 100 block of West Calthrop Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Comrie suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, Comrie succumbed to his injuries.
The Syracuse Police Department has launched a thorough investigation into the incident. Detectives are actively working to gather information and piece together the events that led to the shooting.
